Lauren Alaina broke her silence about her split from boyfriend John Crist during Monday night's episode (Nov. 11) of Dancing with the Stars.

"I am single for the first time as an adult, so I am not trying to hurry love. I will say that I am enjoying it," the country star revealed during the broadcast. "I went through a breakup two weeks before I came on this show. Kind of a crazy time, but being on Dancing with the Stars has been the perfect recipe for healing my broken heart. This show has been like my new boyfriend. I'm dating Dancing with the Stars and it's going great."

In September, Alaina quietly split from the now-embattled Christian comedian after just four months of dating. Since their breakup, Crist has been hit with allegations of sexual misconduct against five separate women. (Each of the accusers came forward in a report from Christian media outlet Charisma News under condition of anonymity.)

Following the allegations, the American Idol runner-up's ex issued a public apology, admitting in his statement that he had "treated relationships with women far too casually, in some cases even recklessly. The comedian's planned Netflix stand-up special, I Ain't Prayin' For That, has been scrapped in the wake of the scandal.
