Ansley Burns performs on America's Got Talent on Aug. 13, 2019.

Ansley Burns returned to the America’s Got Talent stage on Tuesday night (Aug. 13), thanks to Simon Cowell giving her a second chance on the show by selecting her as his Wild Card pick. The 13-year-old singer proved her staying power with an energetic performance of LeAnn Rimes’ “Swingin’,” first made famous by John Anderson in 1983.

On the stage for just under two minutes, Burns wowed the audience with her lively country cover. Donned in cowboy boots and backed by a live band, the teenager’s charisma was apparent from the moment she kicked off the set seated in a truck bed full of flowers.

An animated performer, Burns’ lively set was accentuated by her dance moves and powerful belt. Obviously excited about her return to America’s Got Talent, she left everything she had on the stage.

Burns’ audition on the show included a performance of Aretha Franklin’s “Think.” She’d later go on to cover Carrie Underwood’s “Good Girl.”
