Hailey Whitters is well respected in the Nashville community for penning songs that leave a mark. While the singer-songwriter has had cuts by Little Big Town (“Happy People”), Alan Jackson (“The Older I Get”) and Martina McBride (“The Real Thing”), Whitters is gearing up to release her own album The Dream later this year.
One of the standout tracks featured on the project is “The Days,” a stirring reflection on the importance of making every day count. Penned by Whitters, Hillary Lindsey and Ben West, “The Days” has Whitters’ wavering vocals at the forefront as she reminisces on her past.
“The other day it hit me like a hammer/ That you can’t get back those moments that really matter,” she sings wistfully alongside steady percussion and delicate acoustic guitar. The three-minute video for the song, which Billboard premieres below, reflects this message and includes homemade videos and photos from fans.
