Trisha Yearwood released her new single “Every Girl in This Town” on Thursday (June 6). The lead track off her forthcoming 2019 full-length album, “Every Girl” is a reflective tune that has Yearwood looking back on her youth.

Penned by Erik Dylan, Connie Harrington and Caitlyn Smith, the song boasts an uplifting and universal message for women to dream big and features Yearwood’s familiar powerhouse vocals.

“It’s an emotional song, because the lyrics remind me of that little girl who believed anything and everything was possible,” Yearwood said in a statement. “It’s something we all share in common, and I love being reminded it’s okay to just be me.”

She added: “‘Every Girl in This Town’ is a power song too. It inspires all of us to love who we are, keep dreaming, and give ourselves a break when we’re not perfect. I hope fans see themselves in it too -- I know I do. I also hope that boys and men think about their own ‘Every Girl’ and how special she is.”

“Every Girl in This Town” marks Yearwood’s first set of original music since 2007’s Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love. The forthcoming album follows February’s tribute to Frank Sinatra, Let’s Be Frank.
