Tyler Farr’s longtime friendship with Jason Aldean has turned into a working relationship as the singer has been named the first artist to sign with Aldean’s Night Train Records. The signing is a new venture between Broken Bow Records and Aldean’s Night Train Records.

“I am very excited to be a part of this new chapter in my career with Broken Bow/Night Train Records,” Farr said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to working with one of my best friends in Jason Aldean and the entire Broken Bow team. Can’t wait to see what the future holds!”

Aldean, meanwhile, praised his friend as an artist. “It’s cool to pursue this new endeavor in my career,” Aldean said. "I can’t think of a better way to start than signing one of my best friends. I also really believe in him as an artist and am looking forward to everyone hearing what we’re working on."

The Missouri native joins Broken Bow’s already stacked roster, which includes Aldean, Dustin Lynch, Chase Rice, Everette and Lainey Wilson. Farr launched onto the country scene in 2013 with hit singles “Redneck Crazy” and “Whiskey in My Water,” both off his 2013 debut album Redneck Crazy. In 2015, he garnered his first Billboard Country Airplay No. 1 with “A Guy Walks Into a Bar,” featured on his sophomore album Suffer in Peace. Both albums were released via Sony Music Nashville and reached No. 2 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart.

Subsequent singles following “A Guy Walks Into a Bar” failed to reach the top 20 on Billboard’s Country Airplay or Hot Country Songs charts. Farr departed from Sony Music Nashville in 2018.
