The poppy track is a tribute to the singer's wife.

Thomas Rhett unveiled his summery single “Look What God Gave Her” on Friday (March 1), in anticipation of his performance on Saturday Night Live tomorrow (March 2). In a statement, the singer described the poppy first single off his upcoming fourth studio album, Center Point Road (due out on May 31) as a “celebration of how awesome my wife is.”

“Don't even want the attention/ But yeah, that's all that she's getting/ Her song is on and she's spinning around, yeah/ She got me drunk like Corona, heart racing like it's Daytona/ Ooh, I'm in Heaven, I swear, right now,” Rhett sings on the first verse of the upbeat tune.

Rhett co-wrote the song with his father, Rhett Akins, as well as Julian Bunetta, John Ryan and J Cash. The Georgia native said the feel-good track is “the perfect song to take fans into summer.”

“I was really glad we were able to nail this one,” Rhett added. “My wife is so beautiful, but at the same time she’s inwardly beautiful, she’s funny, she’s kind, she’s the best mom I know. It’s really just about thanking God for the human being He made, and singing it in a fun way.”
