Diplo of Silk City performs on stage on Day 2 of the 2018 Governors Ball Music Festival on June 2, 2018 in New York City.

Stagecoach, the country music festival slated for April 26-28 in Indio, Calif., has added Diplo to the bill.

The superstar electronic DJ will host an afterparty in the Palomino tent April 28, dubbed Stagecoach Late Night in Palomino featuring Diplo.

As the video below humorously suggests, he may not be the first thought to appear at the country festival, which features Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt and Jason Aldean as headliners this year, but his appearance came together effortlessly.

“We are always looking to try out new things and most of all, have a good time. We are friends with Diplo’s team and dreamed up the idea backstage last year,” said Stagecoach talent buyer Stacy Vee in a statement. “His manager was wearing a t-shirt with Diplo wearing a cowboy hat on it. I am so excited it came together, and I think people are going to love it.”

“After successful shows at Calgary Stampede and the Indy 500 Snake Pit, we decided it would be fun to play Stagecoach,” adds Andrew McInnes, TMWRK Co-Founder and CEO and Diplo’s manager. After the initial conversation backstage, “we called [Stagecoach promoter] Goldenvoice and found a way to make it work.”
