Eric Church added an unexpected cover to his arsenal over the weekend, performing Snoop Dogg’s classic “Gin and Juice” at his concert in Cincinnati on Saturday.

Accompanying himself on the acoustic guitar, Church turned Snoop’s 1993 gangsta rap classic into a twangy countrified jam, delivering lyrics like “With so much drama in the L-B-C/ It’s kinda hard bein’ Snoop D-O-double-G/ But I somehow, some way/ Keep comin’ up with funky ass shit like every single day,” as the crowd at US Bank Arena sang along to every word.

Church's take on "Gin and Juice" isn't the "Desperate Man" singer's first foray into hip-hop territory, however. A few days prior, he covered Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” in the rapper's home city of Detroit.

The outlaw country crooner is currently in the midst of his Double Down U.S. tour in support of his sixth full-length LP, Desperate Man, where he's performing two totally different set lists during back-to-back stops in U.S. cities.
