Welcome back to Takeover Tuesday, where each week, Billboard taps chart-topping artists and tastemakers to compile their very own playlist exclusive to Billboard's Spotify account. We give the artists free rein to base the list on whatever subject they choose. The only rule? Make it as creative and unique to them as possible.

Carly Pearce has a big year ahead, as the country singer is putting the finishing touches on her sophomore album while also planning her wedding to fellow country star Michael Ray. But first, she and longtime friend Russell Dickerson are hitting the road for their co-headlining Way Back Tour.

The 11-date trek will pass through Pearce's home state of Kentucky, where she developed her love for country and bluegrass. "As a child of the '90s with Kentucky roots, I was naturally drawn to storytelling lyrics and rich melodies -- so Emmylou Harris, Alison Krauss, Reba, Dolly have been my go-tos," Pearce tells Billboard in an email. "Their music influenced me as I began creating my own sound and moved to Nashville, where I met Russell, played songwriters rounds, signed record deals and both started finding our way in the industry."

The pair's longtime friendship and mutual love of music inspired their tour's name, and naturally, also influenced Pearce's Takeover Tuesday playlist. Along with tracks from Emmylou ("Wayfaring Stranger") and Dolly ("9 to 5"), Pearce shouted out Dickerson's singles -- including his first Country Airplay chart-topper "Yours" -- as well as the lead single from her forthcoming album, "Closer To You."

Though all 15 songs fit the theme of the Way Back Tour, Pearce wants fans to get a little more out of her playlist and tour than just great music. "Hopefully this 'Way Back' playlist will be an inspiration for our fans as they pursue their dreams or join us for a night chasing ours.”
