Shawn Mendes and Zac Brown Band will collaborate for the first time ever on the music series CMT Crossroads, the network announced Friday (Sept. 7). The show will tape outside of Nashville next week for an episode airing on Oct. 24.

“Shawn is an incredibly talented artist and it’s been exciting to watch his career rise over the past few years,” Zac Brown said in the press statement. “We’ve had fun collaborating together, this Crossroads will be very special with huge vocals and musicality. It will be unexpected and something that both sets of fans will enjoy.”

Mendes added, “I’m so excited to head to Nashville to play with Zac and the band on Crossroads. It’s going to be a blast."

The artists will follow past partnerships between John Mayer and Keith Urban, Stevie Nicks and Lady Antebellum, and Katy Perry with Kacey Musgraves. The episode premieres on CMT Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 10 p.m. ET.
