Billy Ray Cyrus Is the New Face of FastLife Insurance: Exclusive

Country music has seen plenty of commercial endorsements over the years, ranging from Flatt & Scruggs’s longtime association with Martha White Flour to Reba McEntire’s recent turn as Colonel Sanders in a series of commercials for Kentucky Fried Chicken. But it's not every day you see a country singer endorse an insurance company, so Billy Ray Cyrus stepped up to the plate.

The 56-year-old hitmaker has inked a deal with Florida-based FastLife Insurance to serve as their celebrity spokesperson, and Billboard has an exclusive look at his first commercials for the company. The country veteran is scheduled to appear in a variety of television, radio and social media spots promoting FastLife’s revolutionary means of distributing insurance without the need for medical exams.

“I am honored to b‎e associated with such a great and reputable company like FastLife. Helping people help themselves and their families, that's cool,” Cyrus said in a statement.

As the patriarch of the famous Cyrus crew, Billy Ray was the perfect person to represent what FastLife is all about. "Billy Ray Cyrus is the ultimate family man and I have the utmost amount of respect for him and his incredible values," Phillip Wasserman, CEO and Founder of FastLife, said. "With FastLife’s underlying mission to help people protect their loved ones through insurance, we couldn’t think of a better person to be the face of our company and we’re very excited to be working with him.”

Producing the television spots for FastLife is former President of Paramount Studios Mark Bakshi, who has since produced a number of feature films including Moneyball starring Brad Pitt and Foxcatcher with Steve Carell. “I’m delighted to be producing these spots for FastLife and to be working with Billy Ray, who I deeply admire and have been a big fan of for many years,” Bakshi added.

The TV spots are expected to air nationally on a variety of networks and other national platforms, including social media. Check out a first look at a couple of them below.
