Kacey Musgraves Wants 'Countrified' Collaborations With Post Malone & Lana Del Rey
Make it happen, universe.
Kacey Musgraves is seemingly in search of her first cross-genre collaboration, and she's using the power of social media to get the ball rolling. The 29-year-old singer took to Twitter on Monday (June 18) to give a holler to Post Malone and Lana Del Rey.
"I wanna collab," Musgraves matter-of-factly declared in her message to Post, tagging the rapper and shouting out their Texas kinship with "#Texas" and "#Represent."
Not even five minutes later, another team-up idea popped into her head, and Musgraves tweeted, "Also...another moment I would be here for would be a rhinestoned, big hair, countryfied @LanaDelRey collab ‘sup Lana?"
Each tweet received close to 6,000 Likes, but judging by the comments, it seems Kacey fans are a little more excited about the possibility of a Lana collab.
A lot of Lana’s earlier stuff is acoustic with a soft country touch on some songs, it would be so perfect!! ------— ʀ -- ᴀ ʜ ✨ (@RiahSpears) June 18, 2018
Aside from A Very Kacey Christmas, Musgraves has yet to feature an artist on one of her albums. Though she just released her latest LP Golden Hour in March, it sounds like Musgraves is already looking to hop back in the studio -- especially if Posty or Lana are on board.
