Kacey Musgraves Plays 'First, Best, Last, Worst': Watch

This week's Billboard cover star Kacey Musgraves took some time from her photo shoot to play “First, Best, Last, Worst,” revealing what the first thing on her bucket list is, what her go-to karaoke songs are and more.

The country artist shares that the number one item on her bucket list is to visit Japan. “We’re planning some things to do in Japan currently,” she says. “Looks like we’re gonna go in May, but it’s been at the top of my bucket list for a really long time.” She also adds that she really wants to see the Northern Lights one day.

For anyone who ever accompanies the “High Horse” singer to a karaoke bar, there’s a high probability some Celine Dion will be sung. “My go-tos are usually Selena, maybe a little Celine Dion,” she tells Billboard. “It’s always a crowd pleaser, bringing out ‘That’s the Way It Is’ or ‘My Heart Will Go On.’ Not a dry eye in the house.” Musgraves is also partial to a bit of *NSYNC, or really any music from the late 90s/early 2000s.

Asked about the last lyric she has written, Musgraves opens up about her song “Slow Burn,” explaining that it was inspired by an acid trip and that it centers around the idea of taking your time with something, whether it is a drink or a conversation with a friend.

In the video, which you can watch above, you can hear more from Kacey Musgraves, including a story about the worst job she has ever had, which involved kids’ birthday parties, a wig getting pulled off and getting paid in change.
