Santa Barbara County area is under a mudslide warning again in the wake of heavy rains.

Brad Paisley is gathering up some friends to help out an area devastated by wildfires and mudslides. The country icon and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres are teaming up for "The 2nd Responders" benefit concert at the Santa Barbara Bowl on May 12 to help out those impacted by the dual natural disasters that impacted the area in December; residents of Santa Barbara County were ordered to evacuate again on Monday (March 19) due to a "high" threat of mud and rock slides due to heavy rains.

In a note announcing the "Brad Paisley and Friends" show the singer explained that the term "2nd Responders" is intended to honor those first responders who were on the front lines during the southern California wildfires and mudslides. Paisley, his as-yet-unnamed friends and DeGeneres will use the occasion to "celebrate the resurgence of the Montecito and Santa Barbara area." Proceeds from the show will benefit the community and service workers via local organizations.

“Kim and I fell in love with Santa Barbara and the Montecito area on our honeymoon," Paisley wrote about the connection he and his wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, have to the area. "It feels like small town America by the sea. With this concert I hope to raise awareness, spirits and money for the region that’s recovering from the devastating mudslides and fires. I hope people come out and actually make it an experience with us and visit some of the local shops, restaurants, bars and coffee shops."

A local presale for the show will begin on Friday (March 23) at 11 a.m, with he public on sale beginning at noon on Saturday.; click here to order tickets. In an effort to encourage the revitalization of the area, Paisley has offered a list of ways concert attendees can spread the wealth, by traveling to Santa Barbara on the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner from San Diego and exploring the shops and restaurants in downtown.
