Six weeks after she made her national TV debut with a performance on ABC's The Bachelor, Canadian-born singer-songwriter Tenille Arts has signed a recording deal with Reviver, Billboard has exclusively learned.
Reviver will drive the marketing and radio-promotion aspects of her career while she continues to develop creatively through existing associations with Dreamcatcher Management and Noble Vision Music, a publishing company that released her album Rebel Child in October 2017 through its 19th & Grand imprint.
Arts accrued 2 million streams in 2017, and her independently released "Cold Feet" was the subject of a Makin' Tracks feature in the Sept. 11, 2017, issue of the Billboard Country Update. When producers with The Bachelor subsequently offered her a performance slot -- rare for an independent and/or unsigned act -- she found "Moment of Weakness" in her catalog and pitched it specifically for that opportunity. "I'm a fan of the show, so I knew what those performance situations were like," she says. "The song pretty much said everything I knew they would be feeling in that moment."
