A good song is a good song forever, no matter how many years have gone by since you first heard it. In the latest edition of Radio Replay, a new web series produced by The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tracy Lawrence’s classic “Time Marches On” gets the cover treatment from one of the most expressive and soulful artists in the country format, Big Machine’s Drake White

Radio Replay is a series that asks artists to do a bit of a song that they heard on the radio while driving over to their Opry performance. Since its release in 1996, the song has remained one of the most durable in Lawrence's song catalog. Written by Country Music Hall of Fame member Bobby Braddock, the single was sent to radio as the first release and title track of Lawrence’s fourth album for Atlantic Records in March 1996.

Just like many of Lawrence’s cuts, the song hit No. 1 on the Billboard Country Songs chart. But the song also remains his most critically acclaimed, scoring nominations for Song of the Year at both the Academy of Country Music Awards and the Country Music Association.

A native of Hokes Bluff, Alabama, White has hit the top 40 on the Country Airplay chart four times, with his most recent hit being the romantic ballad “Makin’ Me Look Good Again" from earlier this year. Billboard -- along with other outlets -- praised his soulful live performance at the 2017 Country Radio Seminar New Faces Show, where his inclusion was voted on by radio programmers from around the country. Spark, his current album, hit the top five on the Country Albums chart upon its release in August 2016.
