Brett Eldredge Explains How His New Album is the 'Most Authentic' Yet: Exclusive Video

Brett Eldredge fans are gearing up for his next album, which the country singer is releasing Aug. 4. Despite being Eldredge's third album, he decided to self title the record -- and Billboard decided to find out why.

"It's the most authentic record to me as an artist I've had yet," Eldredge explained backstage at the Faster Horses music festival. "It just made sense, why not slap my name on there?"

The 31-year-old has already given a preview of what's going to be on the record, dropping early release tracks "The Long Way" and "Castaway" following the album's hit single "Somethin' I'm Good At." When it comes to the rest of the track list, Eldredge hints that he didn't hold anything back in his lyrics, which resulted in what he thinks is his best work yet.

"I hope it whoops all my other records' tails, 'cause it's a good one," he added with a smile.
