Florida Georgia Line & The Chainsmokers, More Collabs Announced for 2017 CMT Music Awards Performances

Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood, and Lady Antebellum and Earth, Wind & Fire will team up too.

Florida Georgia Line and The Chainsmokers, Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood, and Lady Antebellum and Earth, Wind & Fire will all be performing at the upcoming CMT Music Awards, it was announced Wednesday (May 24). 

The award show's new musical collaborations marks a number of firsts for the performers. This will bet the first time The Chainsmokers and Florida George Line will perform live on TV, as well as Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood's first joint performance on any CMT stage. 

Meanwhile, Lady Antebellum and Earth, Wind and Fire's performance will precede Earth, Wind & Fire's upcoming CMT Crossroads concert, which will air June 23 and includes Lady Antebellum among its guest artists. 

Blake Shelton, Brett Eldredge, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and Thomas Rhett have already been announced to appear at the 2017 CMT Music Awards, which will air live from Nashville’s Music City Center on June 7 at 8 p.m. EST. Nashville star Charles Esten will host, with more performers to be announced.
