CMT Unveils Summer Slate Featuring Earth, Wind & Fire Outdoor 'Crossroads' Concert, CMT Music Awards & More

CMT has unveiled its summer programming slate that includes original series and music specials. 

Nashville's Charles Esten will host the 2017 CMT Music Awards live on June 7, while the CMT Instant Jam with Brett Eldredge from Las Vegas will premiere June 16 and the CMT Hot 20 Countdown will continue its weekly broadcasts on on Saturday and Sunday nights. 

In addition, CMT will premiere its first-ever ever outdoor CMT Crossroads featuring Earth, Wind & Fire on June 23. The concert will be held in downtown Nashville, as the iconic band is joined by country stars including Lady Antebellum to perform some of their biggest hits and country classics.  

As for series, Nashville will return with its midseason premiere on June 1, the Billy Ray Cyrus-starring Still The King returns with its second season premiere on July 11 and I Love Kellie Pickler starring Kellie Pickler returns for its third season on Aug. 3. 

CMT will also host the broadcast premiere of the Joey and Rory Feek documentary To Joey, With Love on June 21.
