Country music took over Las Vegas on April 2, with some of the biggest names in the genre coming together for the Academy of Country Music Awards. How did they open the show? With a performance medley of No. 1 hits, of course.

First to take the stage was Jason Aldean, performing his rock-infused track "Lights Come On," which was a rousing lead-in to Luke Bryan's hip shaker "Move." Although Florida Georgia Line has one of the biggest country anthems with "Cruise," they brought their more balladic romance tune "H.O.L.Y." to the hits medley.

Things picked right back up with Carrie Underwood, who brought the pace back up with her powerhouse vocals on "Church Bells" while sporting a fierce metallic dress to match the tone of her part. Closing out the run of No. 1s was 15-time Hot Country Songs chart-topper Keith Urban, who sang "Wasted Time" from the crowd.

And this was only the beginning of the night.
