Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley & Joe Walsh Perform 'Johnny B. Goode' In Tribute to Chuck Berry at 2017 ACM Awards
Minutes after performing his Country Airplay chart-topping "Move" as part of a medley of No. 1 hits, Luke Bryan joined his ACM Awards co-host Dierks Bentley in a performance of "Johnny B. Goode," in tribute to the late, great Chuck Berry.
Bryan hammered on the piano while Bentley played the six-string, trading off verses on the early rock classic. The pair brought Eagles axeman Joe Walsh along for extra rock cred, though as Bryan pointed out after the performance, Berry "influenced every form of music -- including country."
The performance was high-energy enough that it left Bryan a little winded before his and Bentley's opening monologue, proclaiming "Gotta get my breath back after that one!"
