Justin Moore laid down the law at a recent show in Chicago. When he spotted a male audience member allegedly hit a female in the crowd Thursday night (Aug. 25), the country singer paused his live performance and crouched down on the stage to speak to him face-to-face, according to a report by The Boot. Moore then made it clear that such behavior is completely unacceptable at his concerts.

“Hey, hey, hey! Look at me!” Moore said. “If you ever throw anything at a woman at another one of my shows, I’m gonna beat the f— out of you.”

The confrontation, which resulted in cheers from other folks in the crowd, can be heard in a video posted below that was filmed by a fan at the show.

Moore’s latest album, Kinda Don’t Care, was released on Aug. 12 and debuted at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart and No 4. on the all-genre Billboard 200. “There’s still a lot of traditional stuff on the album for my hardcore fanbase, but we really wanted to grow the fanbase to a place that it hasn’t been yet,” he recently told Billboard. “In order to do that, I’ve got to continue to grow as an artist.”
