The late summer air around Music City definitely has a mysterious twinge to it today. CMT has announced that it will produce a pair of Instant Jam concert specials from two of the genre’s hottest stars.
The free concerts will take place in the next few weeks, in cities yet to be revealed and in venues with capacities of only a few hundred people, allowing fans the opportunity to get up-close and personal with their favorite superstar acts for a truly once-in-a-lifetime concert experience. For those not fortunate enough to score tickets to the shows, CMT will bring to life the excitement and energy around the big reveals, and offer front-row seats to the high-energy performances when the CMT Instant Jam specials premiere late summer and early fall.
The concert series has featured Kenny Chesney and Florida Georgia Line in the past. No word as to who will be the first act to announce their show (or where the location will be), but rumor has it that the first headlining performer is a member of the Grand Ole Opry, and also was a performer on the CMT Music Awards in June. Stay tuned to Billboard.com for further updates, but in the meantime, have a look at the episode featuring Chesney at a pop-up show for college kids in Athens, Georgia.
