Jason Isbell Pays Tribute to B.B. King in Concert With Soulful 'The Thrill Is Gone' Cover: Watch

Jason Isbell and his band the 400 Unit payed tribute to B.B. King who died last Thursday with a soulful performance of King's biggest hit, "The Thrill Is Gone," for an Orlando audience.

"This one I'm sure you know, probably a lot of people out there covering it tonight, but it gives us a chance to play the kind of music we grew up on so we're gonna do that in honor of that man," Isbell said, speaking of King, to the Plaza Theatre during his headlining set.

Isbell and the 400 Unit's rendition was soulful and smooth, just as King would have liked. Watch it here:

Isbell also tweeted out words of respect for the fallen bluesman following word of his passing. He wrote, "BB King wasn't just a famous blues singer, he was a truly incredible guitar player."
