Dustin Lynch performs during day 3 of Stagecoach: California's Country Music Festival on April 27, 2014 in Indio, California.

You might think being a country star is a cushy life, but it's not just hit singles and adoring crowds -- sometimes it gets ugly. In the middle of a performance at the Mullet Festival in Niceville, Florida, Dustin Lynch got hit in the cheek with a full beer can. The flying can even drew blood.

Lynch, whose single "That's Where It's At (Yep Yep)" reached No. 4 on the Hot Country Songs chart earlier this year, continued playing despite taking a direct hit. What a pro. Watch the video below.

It's especially ironic that this event took place in a town called Niceville. Lynch showed off his wound in a selfie with fans.

The singer later tweeted that he's doing fine and thanked fans for their support. Not only that, he turned the misfortune to his advantage by using it as an opportunity to promote his new single "Hell of a Night." #Branding.
