The country quartet will be inducted into the Grand Ole Opry on Oct. 17.

Country music quartet Little Big Town will become the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville later this month.

The group received the wonderful news from country music legend Reba McEntire during its performance at the Grand Ole Opry on Friday (Oct. 3). The country Music Hall of Famer and Grand Ole Opry member delivered the invitation while Little Big Town was performing its hit song “Pontoon.”

"I have been asked to ask y'all, Little Big Town, would y'all like to be a member of the Grand Ole Opry?" McEntire said after joining Little Big Town during the tune.

Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook happily accepted the offer.

The country quartet will be inducted into the Grand Ole Opry by Vince Gill on Oct. 17.

Little Big Town will release its sixth album, Pain Killer, on Oct. 21.
