Jamie XX of The XX performs on day 2 of the Parklife Weekender Festival at Heaton Park on June 8, 2014 in Manchester, England.

The quiet (in the sense that he doesn't sing) third member of the xx has just announced the release of his long-awaited solo album.

The latest cover story from Mixmag reports that Jamie xx's first LP is titled In Colour and it's due some time in June via Young Turks. Previously, Young Turks released "Sleep Sound" and "Girl," a pair of 12-inch singles from the electronic producer that are expected to appear on the LP. According to Pitchfork, the album will include collaborations with xx vocalist-guitarist Romy Madley Croft and another electronic trendsetter, Four Tet.

The Beggar's Group imprint also released We're New Here, Jamie xx's remix of Gil Scott-Heron's 2010 album I'm New Here, in 2011.

Back in Nov. 2014, the xx wrote an open letter to its fans, saying it had been working on new music around the world -- in Texas, Iceland, and London. Here's hoping it's a big year for all parties involved.
