Rob Garza is one-half of the Washington, D.C., DJ collective Theivery Corporation. Below, he shares his playlist for Burning Man, the Nevada gathering that started Monday (Aug. 25).

While there is so much music to dance to at Burning Man, I picked some tracks that are great for listening as well and capture the essence and spirit of the playa.

Andhim, "Haush"
This has such a summery positive spirit within the track, a great leadoff into the dust.

Massive Attack, "Teardrop"
A classic - just has a mesmerizing quality that fits so beautifully with the landscape.

Thievery Corporation, "Lebanese Blonde"
It’s always nice to hear one of your own songs out here and the sitar and eastern vibe feels at home on the playa.

Tycho, "Dive"
Fellow SF Artist Tycho sun splashed music has a special elatedness perfect as the sun goes down.

Compuphonic, "Sunset"
I love this track, one that always seeps into a set or 2 out there.

Lovebirds, "Want You in My Soul"
This song for me seems to encapsulate the Playa love.

Hot since 82, "So High"
This is one of my go to tracks that I love to DJ, It’s just filled with so much energy and captures the essence of being in the midst of so much movement.

Manuel Tur, "Ara Anam"
This track is has a hypnotic sense of motion perfect for an art car ride watching the lights go by.

Todd Terje, "Inspector Norse"
A couple Burn’s ago we played a set on the Robot Heart bus for people leaving the playa during the long exodus stuck in their cars or hitch hiking. I remember playing this track and immediately there was such a magical vibe.

Röyksopp,"Running To the Sea (feat. Susanne Sundfør) [Pachanga Boys Remix]"
This has such a beautiful, long arching blissful crescendo perfect for a soft landing.
