A young man has died in connection to the Ultra Music Festival in Miami over this weekend, local news outlets are reporting. The young man died late in the evening Saturday or early morning Sunday.
According to NBC 6 South Florida, 21-year-old Adonis Pena Escoto was feeling ill when his friends brought him to a car. "The friends go back to the festival. When they left, he never [woke] up," Rosa Escoto, an aunt, told the station.
"The autopsy is yet to be completed and the toxicology will take probably a few months," Miami Police chief Manuel Orosa said at a press conference.
Ultra has drawn criticism this year from city officials in Miami after a security guard was trampled in a rush to gain entry to the event without tickets.
Miami Police did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
