Flume Shares Animated ‘Space Cadet’ Video: Watch

Just days out from the start of his latest global trek, Flume has taken his fans on an early trip.

The smoking hot Australian electronic music producer Flume has dropped an animated clip for his remix of “Space Cadet” featuring Ghostface Killah and Autre Ne Veut.

The reworked track appears on "Flume: Deluxe Edition," which was released last September and will be issued April 15 as a double-vinyl set. The likes of Freddie Gibbs, Killer Mike, Twin Shadow, How To Dress Well and Stalley are guest collaborators on the album.

“Space Cadet” is directed by Jim Dirschberger and Jay Howell, who work on the Nickelodeon cartoon “Sanjay and Craig”. With its flying pyramids and tripled-headed, mohawk-wearing aliens, the video certainly isn’t targeted at fans of Mickey Mouse. Howell, who illustrates the Fox cartoon “Bob's Burgers”, has also designed a limited-edition t-shirt which is available to pre-order with the album here

Flume collected nearly every accolade going in his homeland last year. The 22-year-old producer -- whose real name is Harley Streten -- saw his eponymously titled debut rise to No. 1 on the ARIA Albums chart last year having initially been held-off the top spot by One Direction. He went on to scoop four trophies at the annual Independent Music Awards in Melbourne, and another four at the ARIA Awards. “Flume” also won Triple J’s prestigious J Award for “album of the year.”
