Bad Bunny and Ozuna hold court atop Nielsen Music’s mid-year 2019 top 10 Latin albums chart. The former’s X 100Pre and the latter’s Aura and Odisea rank as the Nos. 1, 2 and 3 most popular Latin albums so far this year.

During the tracking period of Jan. 4 through June 20, 2019, X 100Pre earned 425,000 equivalent album units in the U.S., while Aura and Odisea tallied 161,000 and 139,000. (See chart, below.)

Equivalent album units are comprised of traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported on-demand audio streams generated by songs on an album, or 1,250 paid subscription on-demand audio streams generated by songs on an album. (For the sake of clarity, equivalent album units do not include listening to music on broadcast radio or digital radio broadcasts.)

Overall equivalent album units for the Latin genre totaled 10.2 million through June 20. That represents 3.3% of the total volume across all genres (305.2 million).

Rock band Santana has the biggest-selling Latin album of 2019 thus far, with the group’s recent release Africa Speaks. The set, which recently debuted at No. 1 on the Top Latin Albums chart, sold 63,000 copies through June 20.

Daddy Yankee’s “Con Calma,” featuring Snow, is the biggest-selling digital Latin song, with 120,000 downloads sold. (All versions of the song, including a remix with Katy Perry, are combined for sales tracking purposes.)

DJ Snake’s “Taki Taki,” featuring Selena Gomez, Ozuna and Cardi B, is the most streamed Latin tune of the year so far (combining on-demand audio and video streams) with 259.4 million. In terms of only on-demand audio clicks, Bad Bunny’s “Mia,” featuring Drake, is tops with 132.1 million.
