The 34-year-old Atlanta native’s viral hit reaches a new No. 2 peak on Country Streaming Songs.

Plus, Ali Gatie and Noah Kahan debut.

Blanco Brown hits No. 1 on a Billboard chart for the first time, as he rises 3-1 on the Emerging Artists tally (dated June 29), becoming the top emerging act in the U.S.

The Atlanta native's breakout single "The Git Up" enters the Hot Country Songs chart's top 10 (13-7) and surges 66-51 on the Billboard Hot 100 with top Streaming Gainer honors: it's up 55% to 13.7 million U.S. streams, according to Nielsen Music, its profile boosted by a viral dance challenge on TikTok and YouTube.

Brown is the first country act to lead the Emerging Artists chart since Jordan Davis in April 2018.

The Emerging Artists chart ranks the most popular developing artists of the week, using the same formula as the all-encompassing Billboard Artist 100, which measures artist activity across multiple Billboard charts, including the Hot 100, Billboard 200 and the Social 50. (The Artist 100 lists the most popular acts, overall, each week.) However, the Emerging Artists chart excludes acts that have notched a top 25 entry on either the Hot 100 or Billboard 200, as well as artists that have achieved two or more top 10s on Billboard's "Hot" song genre charts and/or consumption-based "Top" album genre rankings.

Rounding out the Emerging Artists top five, Lewis Capaldi holds at No. 2, City Girls dip to No. 3 after 11 total weeks on top, Calboy keeps at No. 4 and Lukas Nelson & The Promise of the Real re-enter at No. 5, as their new album, Turn Off the News, Build a Garden, debuts at No. 1 on Country Album Sales (6,000 sold).

Ali Gatie arrives at No. 12 on Emerging Artists, as his introductory single "It's You" starts at No. 9 on Hot R&B Songs and No. 97 on the Hot 100, marking his first charted song.

Plus, singer-songwriter Noah Kahan enters Emerging Artists at No. 29 as his debut LP Busyhead opens at No. 1 on Heatseekers Albums (2,000 sold).
