The Head and the Heart's 'Missed Connection' Rules Adult Alternative Songs Chart

The Seattle band lands its third No. 1 on the airplay tally.

The Head and the Heart top Billboard's Adult Alternative Songs airplay chart dated June 1 with "Missed Connection," which rises 2-1.

The track is the band's third leader on Adult Alternative Songs and first since "All We Ever Knew," which ruled for eight weeks beginning in August 2016. The Washington state-based rockers first reigned with "Lost in My Mind" for two weeks in October 2011.

Concurrently, "Connection" bullets at its highs of No. 10 on the all-rock-format Rock Airplay chart, with 4.7 million audience impressions, according to Nielsen Music, and No. 16 on Alternative Songs.

The track also reaches a new peak on the airplay-, streaming- and sales-based Hot Rock Songs list, jumping 17-13 and tying "All I Ever Knew" for the band's best career rank on the chart.

"Connection" is the first single from Living Mirage, which bows at No. 3 on Top Rock Albums with 24,000 equivalent units earned, according to Nielsen Music.
