Plus: Sean Paul, J Balvin & La Adictiva earn new top 10s across Latin charts.

Natti Natasha’s “Me Gusta” hits No. 1 on the Latin Airplay chart dated May 18, her fourth leader. As the song pushes up the tally with an 8-1 rise, Natti becomes the first woman as a lead unaccompanied act to take the crown in 2019. "Me Gusta" is also Natti's first No. 1 as a soloist unaccompanied by another act after three earlier chart-topping collaborations.

In 2019, Karol G previously took charge twice through collaborations: “Secreto,” with Anuel AA, topped the list dated May 4. Her initial coronation arrived with “Créeme,” her first collaboration with compatriot Maluma (No. 1; March 2). The last woman to score a No. 1 in a lead role, unaccompanied, was Jennifer Lopez, with "El Anilo," on the July 14, 2018-dated list.

“Me Gusta”’s coronation is spurred by a 68% gain in audience impressions (to 15.17  million) earned in the week ending May 12, according to Nielsen Music.

Notably, out of Natti’s four No. 1s, which date back to 2012, “Me Gusta” climbs to the top in its 17th frame, becoming her longest rise to the summit. The Puerto Rican secured her first No. 1 on the Latin Airplay list through her feature role in Don Omar’s “Dutty Love,” which arrived at the summit in its 12th week (April 7, 2012). “Sin Pijama” with Becky G followed with a 14-week stint to the top (Aug. 11, 2018). “Justicia” with Silvestre Dangond then led the Nov. 3, 2018-dated list in its 12th week.

“Me Gusta” concurrently ascends 5-1 on the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart.

La Adictiva Founds Love: Elsewhere, La Adictiva Banda San José de Mesillas cracks the top 10 barrier on the Regional Mexican Songs airplay chart as “El Amor De Mi Vida” bumps 11-9 in its fifth week. It earns the band its 11th Regional Mexican Airplay top 10.

The third single from their upcoming 16th studio album rises with a 4.42 million in audience impressions (a 58% gain).

With the song’s move, the 16-member band secures its fifth straight top 10. It clocked its first leader, however, with “Te Amo y Te Amo” (No. 1) in 2011, its longest coronation as the song remained atop the list for nine weeks.

Sean Paul & J Balvin Meet: Over on the Latin Pop Songs airplay chart, Sean Paul and J Balvin meet in the top 10 as “Contra La Pared” ascends 12-9, earning Sean Paul his second top 10. He secured his first top 10 through his featured role on Enrique Iglesias’ “Súbeme La Radio” (No. 2) in 2017.

Balvin, meanwhile, clocks his 19th top 10 which began when “Te Lo Dije” shot to No. 9 on Sept. 2013.

“Contra La Pared” rallied with a 12% jump in plays in the week ending May 12.
