The track starts at No. 7, besting the No. 9 debut of "Ophelia" in 2016.

The Lumineers' latest era is off to a strong start, as the folk-rock band lands its best debut on the Hot Rock Songs chart.

"Gloria" launches at No. 7 (on the chart dated April 20), exceeding the No. 9 start of "Ophelia" in 2016. The new single arrives with 4.9 million airplay audience impressions, 1.7 million U.S. streams and 8,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen Music.

That download count sparks the quintet's top debut on Rock Digital Song Sales (No. 2), again beating "Ophelia," which started at No. 5.

"Gloria" concurrently debuts at No. 13 on the Adult Alternative Songs airplay chart and zooms 32-18 on Alternative Songs. It also rises 23-14 on the all-rock-format Rock Airplay ranking with 3.8 million audience impressions.

III, the Lumineers' third studio album, is due Sept. 13. It's the band's first full-length since Cleopatra, which debuted atop the Billboard 200 dated April 30, 2016, with 125,000 equivalent album units earned.
