Keith Sweat earns his second No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Songs airplay chart (dated April 13) as “Boomerang,” featuring Candace Price, ascends from the runner up spot. The track hits the top despite a 1% drop in plays in the week ending April 7, according to Nielsen Music. (Although the track declines in spins, the song still receives a bullet as it reaches No. 1 for the first time.)
Sweat previously reached No. 1 with “Good Love,” which led for one week in 2016. In addition to those two leaders, the R&B veteran has posted another 10 top 10 hits as a soloist and two more as a member of the group LSG, with Gerald Levert and Johnny Gill, since the Adult R&B Songs chart began in 1993.
