YK Osiris Scores First Billboard Hot 100 Hit With 'Worth It'

The 20-year-old recently signed to Def Jam.

Jacksonville, Florida-based rapper and R&B vocalist YK Osiris scores his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100, as his new single "Worth It" debuts at No. 87 (on the chart dated March 2).

The track opens with 8.9 million U.S. streams (up 70 percent) and 2,000 downloads sold (up 20 percent) in the week ending Feb. 21, according to Nielsen Music. The track concurrently debuts at No. 35 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, also marking his first entry on the ranking.

YK Osiris (full name: Osiris Williams), 20, broke out last year when his song "I'm Next (Freestyle)" went viral on YouTube, raking in over 4 million global views to date. He followed with "Valentine" (which Lil Uzi Vert remixed) and then signed with Def Jam.

Prior to this week, Osiris had reached Billboard's charts with one other title: Ann Marie's "Secret," on which he's featured, debuted and peaked at No. 22 on the Hot R&B Songs chart dated Jan. 19.

Osiris also debuts on the Emerging Artists chart this week at No. 28.
