Backstreet Boys impact the Hot Tours recap (see below) dated Dec. 1, 2018 with two brief legs of their Larger Than Life residency at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. Combined, these six dates spanning Nov. 7-17, 2018 grossed $2.8 million and sold 21,057 tickets, according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore.

In all, BSB have played 62 shows since kicking off their residency on March 1, 2017, grossing $34.4 million. They played 32 shows in 2017, raking in $19.5 million and an additional 30 shows in 2018, adding $15 million to their total.

As with most residencies, shows get reported to Billboard Boxscore in large groups, sometimes making it difficult to size up each show’s performance. To date, the Larger Than Life residency has averaged $554,940 per date. If they maintain that piece, the remaining 18 shows should put the residency’s total close to $45 million.

Backstreet Boys have two more legs of Vegas shows on the books and are scheduled to play their final date on Apr. 27, 2019 before embarking on the DNA World Tour. After a brief break, the guys will begin their most expansive tour in 18 years on May 11, 2019 in Lisbon, Portugal.

Ten minutes down the road from Planet Hollywood, Diana Ross burned through three weeks of dates at the Encore Theater at the Wynn Hotel. Ms. Ross grossed $1.7 million, selling out six of her nine shows. This recent series follows two other sets of nine that Ross has performed at the Wynn, dating back to Oct. 11, 2017. In total, she has brought in $5.4 million to the Encore Theater. Previously, she had played mini-residencies at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace (three shows; $781,000 gross) and The Theater at the Venetian (27 shows; $5.2 million gross).

Ross will return to Encore Theater at Wynn Hotel for nine performances under the new Diamond Diana show, from Feb. 6 through Feb. 23, 2019.
