The song is the group's fourth No. 1 & first since 2015's "Believe."

Mumford & Sons land their fourth No. 1 on Billboard's Adult Alternative Songs airplay chart, as "Guiding Light" rises 2-1 on the Nov. 3-dated list.

The British four-piece first topped the tally in 2012 with "I Will Wait" (following a pair of No. 2 hits, "Little Lion Man" and "The Cave," in 2010 and 2011, respectively) and had last reigned with the 11-week leader "Believe" in 2015.

While "Light" shines atop the chart by completing a brisk five-week climb, Mumford & Sons have reached No. 1 even more quickly; both "Wait" and "Believe" took three weeks.

The band is now tied with Coldplay for the second-most leaders on Adult Alternative Songs this decade. Only Florence + the Machine (five) have more.

The lead single from Mumford & Sons' fourth studio album, Delta (due Nov. 16), concurrently bullets at No. 6 on the all-rock-format Rock Airplay chart (8.1 million audience impressions, according to Nielsen Music) and lifts 9-8 on Alternative Songs.

A second song from Delta, "If I Say," was released Oct. 25. The set is the follow-up to Wilder Mind, which debuted atop the Billboard 200 dated May 23, 2015, with 250,000 equivalent album units earned in its first week.
