Harris earns his sixth No. 1, while Smith scores his second.

Calvin Harris and Sam Smith hit No. 1 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart (dated Oct. 27) with "Promises" (2-1). The DJ/singer collaboration is the sixth leader for Harris and the second for Smith.

Harris tells Billboard, "I'm absolutely over the moon to put house music back at No. 1 the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart."

"Promises" is Harris' second topper in 2018, following "One Kiss," with Dua Lipa (June 2). This year marks the first in which he has notched two leaders.

His prior leaders are: "We Found Love" (by Rihanna featuring Harris, for two weeks, November 2011), "Sweet Nothing" (featuring Florence Welch, December 2012), "I Need Your Love" (featuring Ellie Goulding, May 2013) and "This Is What You Came For" (featuring Rihanna, two weeks, July 2016). "This" went on to reign as the No. 1 Dance Club Songs hit of all of 2016.

Including his six Dance Club Songs No. 1s, Harris has achieved 11 top 10s and 20 total chart hits, all dating to his first entry, "Bounce" (featuring Kelis), which debuted at No. 49 on July 9, 2011, and reached No. 22 that August. Since his bow, only four acts have earned more chart appearances: Pitbull and Rihanna (each with 25), David Guetta (24) and Dave Aude (21).

"Promises" previously topped the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart for two weeks beginning Oct. 6 (and currently ranks at No. 2). It became his 12th No. 1 on the chart, tying Rihanna for the most in the list's 15-year history.
