Sigala & The Crystal Method Debut on Dance/Electronic Charts

The acts each debut new albums.

Sigala makes his first appearance on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart (dated Oct. 13) with Brighter Days. The set starts at No. 9 with 3,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music.

Brighter Days has spawned multiple Hot Dance/Electronic Songs entries, including "Just Got Paid," with Meghan Trainor, Ella Eyre and French Montana (No. 24, Sept. 22). Currently at No. 34, the track could gain after its official video premiered Oct. 10.

Sigala's first Hot Dance/Electronic Songs hit, "Easy Love," remains the British DJ's highest-charting, reaching No. 16 in October 2015.

'TRIP' TO No. 2: The Crystal Method returns to Dance/Electronic Album Sales for the first time in four years (since 2014's The Crystal Method reached No. 3) with The Trip Home (No. 2, 1,000 copies sold). It's the heritage act's ninth appearance and eighth top 10 since 2001, when first entry Tweekend topped the chart for four weeks. The Crystal Method also led for two weeks in 2004 with Legion of Boom.

The act's debut album, Vegas, predated the chart's 2001 launch but spent 43 weeks on the all-genre Billboard 200 in 1997-98 (peaking at No. 92 upon its start). The set yielded the DJ duo's only No. 1 on Dance Club Songs, "Comin' Back," in August 1998.

Trip is the act's first release as a solo jaunt for founding member Scott Kirkland, following Ken Jordan's retirement last year.
