Plus, Andrea Bocelli’s son Matteo debuts, thanks to a father-son duet.

Toronto-based art-rock trio Palaye Royale debuts at No. 9 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart (dated Oct. 13), as its sophomore LP Boom Boom Room (Side B) arrives as its first charting title on both the Top Rock Albums and Billboard 200 charts, at Nos. 12 and 89, respectively. The album debuts with 8,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music.

The group's debut set, Boom Boom Room (Side A), reached No. 21 on Heatseekers Albums in 2016. Plus, Palaye Royals earned one charting song entry in 2017, as "Get Higher" reached No. 26 on the Mainstream Rock Songs airplay chart last October.

The Emerging Artists chart ranks the most popular developing artists of the week, using the same formula as the all-encompassing Billboard Artist 100, which measures artist activity across multiple Billboard charts, including the Billboard Hot 100, Billboard 200 and the Social 50. (The Artist 100 lists the most popular acts, overall, each week.) However, the Emerging Artists chart excludes acts that have notched a top 25 entry on either the Hot 100 or Billboard 200, as well as artists that have achieved two or more top 10s on Billboard's "Hot" song genre charts and/or consumption-based "Top" album genre rankings.

Lauv returns to No. 1 on the Emerging Artists chart, logging his 14th total week at the summit. His breakout hit "I Like Me Better" continues to scale the Radio Songs chart, reaching a new No. 12 high in its 26th week (up 2 percent to 52.2 million in all-format audience).

Rounding out the Emerging Artists chart’s top five, lovelytheband dips to No. 2 after a week at the summit; Louis Tomlinson rises 5-3; Sheck Wes holds at No. 4; and Bryce Vine climbs 6-5.

Meanwhile, Mitchell Tenpenny matches his peak on Emerging Artists, lifting 8-6, as his debut hit "Drunk Me" becomes his first Hot Country Songs top 10, rising 11-10.

Plus, 21-year-old Matteo Bocelli debuts at No. 41 on Emerging Artists, as his debut release "Fall on Me," with his father, popera legend Andrea, debuts at No. 25 on Digital Song Sales (10,000 sold).
