6lack earns his first No. 1 on Top R&B Albums as East Atlanta Love Letter debuts at the summit (on the list dated Sept. 29). The set, released via LVRN/Interscope Records, earned 77,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Sept. 20, according to Nielsen Music.

Letter also gives the singer-rapper his first top 10 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart as it opens at No. 2, behind Eminem’s Kamikaze. 6lack previously halted at No. 11 with his debut set, Free 6lack, in 2016.

As Letter arrives, it sends six of its tracks onto the Hot R&B Songs chart: The Future-assisted title track starts at No. 11, followed by “Loaded Gun” (No. 15), “Unfair” (No. 16), “Let Her Go” (No. 19), “Seasons,” featuring Khalid (No. 20) and “Sorry” (No. 21). In addition, previous release “Switch” re-enters at No. 13, and 6lack boasts another song, a standalone collaboration with Khalid and Ty Dolla $ign, “OTW,” that ranks at No. 7.

“OTW” continues to scale the Rhythmic Songs airplay chart, as it lifts 17-14 thanks to a 9 percent gain in plays in the week ending Sept. 23, according to Nielsen Music.

Beyond his R&B tunes, 6lack also debuts one rap track, “Pretty Little Fears” on several charts. The track which features J. Cole, starts at No. 35 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and No. 76 on the Billboard Hot 100.
