The NCT subunit reaches No. 5, up from its No. 7 peak in May.

The announcement of NCT 127’s debut full-length album -- coupled with the addition of a new member -- drives the act back onto Billboard’s Social 50 at No. 5 on the Sept. 29-dated list.

The Social 50 is powered by data tracked by music analytics company Next Big Sound and ranks the most popular artists on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Wikipedia and Tumblr. The chart's methodology blends weekly additions of friends/fans/followers along with artist page views and engagement. The chart’s latest tracking week ended Sept. 20.

The formerly nine-member group added Jungwoo to its ranks in a Sept. 17 announcement via social media, pulling the singer from fellow NCT subunit NCT U.

In the same reveal, the group announced its album Regular-Irregular would be released on Oct. 12. It will be NCT 127’s first full-length album, following the release of multiple EPs, most recently May’s Chain. (NCT did, however, release a full-length album with each of its members, NCT 2018 Empathy, earlier this year.) The new album contains NCT 127’s first English-language song, “Regular.”

The K-pop group snagged 627,000 Twitter reactions in the week ending Sept. 20, a boost of 1,380 percent, as well as 27,000 new followers, according to Next Big Sound. Its re-entry at No. 5 marks the group’s top rank on the Social 50, exceeding its No. 7 peak in May upon the release of Chain.
