Plus: the late Mac Miller’s “Swimming” may return to the top 10.
Eminem’s Kamikaze may hold at No. 1 on next week’s Billboard 200 albums chart, according to industry forecasters. Those in the know suggest the set could earn around 120,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Sept. 13, which might be enough for it to hang on to the top slot. Kamikaze launched at No. 1 with 434,000 units earned in the week ending Sept. 6, according to Nielsen Music.
Meanwhile, Paul McCartney’s new Egypt Station — which was released on Sept. 7 via MPL/Capitol Records — could arrive in the No. 2 slot, and is flirting with a No. 1 debut. The album could tally 115,000-plus units for the week.
If Egypt starts at No. 1, it will earn McCartney his eighth leader on the list, and first since 1982’s Tug of War.
