Drake's 'In My Feelings' Finishes at No. 1 on Billboard's 2018 Songs of the Summer Chart
Drake earns his second summer win, following "One Dance" in 2016.
The 20-position Songs of the Summer running tally tracks the most popular titles based on cumulative performance on the weekly Billboard Hot 100 from Memorial Day through Labor Day (this year encompassing charts dated June 9 through Sept. 8).
Drake becomes the sixth artist with two season-ending Songs of the Summer No. 1s, as he first claimed victory in 2016 with "One Dance," featuring WizKid and Kyla.
Here is a look at the acts that have earned two No. 1s each on the Songs of the Summer chart:
1977, "I Just Want to Be Your Everything"
1978, "Shadow Dancing"
1990, "Vision of Love"
2005, "We Belong Together"
2001, "U Remind Me"
2004, "Confessions Part II"
2003, "Crazy in Love" (Beyoncé feat. JAY-Z)
2007, "Umbrella" (Rihanna feat. JAY-Z)
2008, "I Kissed a Girl"
2010, "California Gurls," feat. Snoop Dogg
2016, "One Dance," feat. WizKid and Kyla
2018, "In My Feelings"
Beyond Drake's "Feelings," Cardi B, Bad Bunny and J Balvin's "I Like It" places at No. 2 on the 2018 Songs of the Summer summary; Maroon 5's "Girls Like You," featuring Cardi B, ranks at No. 3; Drake's "Nice for What" finishes at No. 4; and Juice WRLD's "Lucid Dreams" wraps at No. 5.
Before "Feelings," "I Like It" led Songs of the Summer for four weeks, as did Drake's "Nice," while Post Malone's "Psycho," featuring Ty Dolla $ign, ruled for two weeks. The turnover at the top contrasted to that of 2017, when Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito," featuring Justin Bieber, reigned for all 14 weeks of the list's measurement span.
