Concurrently, "El Clavo" rules the Latin Rhythm Songs airplay chart and places second on the Latin Pop Songs airplay list.
The urban remix’s music video -- which was released on Tuesday, Aug. 28 and was directed by Jessy Terrero -- could impact the song's fortunes on the Hot Latin Songs chart next week. (The Hot Latin Songs chart ranks the most popular Latin songs by blending airplay, sales and streaming data.)
Carlos Vives Lands Atop Tropical Songs After Two Years: Carlos Vives logs his seventh No. 1 on the Tropical Songs airplay chart as “Hoy Tengo Tiempo (Pinta Sensual)” bumps 2-1 despite a six percent decrease in airplay (to 7 million).
Notably, Vives last crowned the chart in 2016 when “La Bicicleta,” his collaboration with Shakira, debuted at the summit with 17 million in audience, being his only chart entry of the year.
“Hoy” is Vives' second top 10 of the year. He placed in the top 10 with “El Arrepentido,” with Melendi, which peaked at No. 8 on the May 26-dated chart.
Calibre 50 Logs 18th Regional Songs No. 1: Elsewhere, Calibre 50 reigns on the Regional Songs airplay tally as “Mi Sorpresa Fuiste Tú” jumps 3-1 after two weeks at third place. The quartet knocks La Adictiva Banda San Jose de Mesillas' "En Peligro de Extincion" from the No. 1 slot after only one week, placing them back at No. 2, where they previously ranked for three consecutive weeks.
Calibre earn their 12th No. 1, tying with La Arrolladora Banda El Limón de Rene Camacho for the fourth-most No. 1s.
