Bastille Returns to the Hot 100 With Marshmello Collab 'Happier' & More Chart Moves

Bastille scores its first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart since 2014’s “Pompeii,” as the group’s collaboration with Marshmello “Happier" debuts at No. 63 on the list dated Sept. 1. The English indie pop group landed two tracks on the Hot 100 in 2014: “Pompeii” reached No. 5 in March, while “Bad Blood” spent one week on the chart at No. 95 in April.
“Happier” arrives with 6.1 million U.S. streams and 14,000 downloads sold in the tracking week ending Aug. 23, according to Nielsen Music. The song concurrently starts at No. 29 on the Alternative Songs airplay chart and No. 7 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
As for Marshmello, the single earns the DJ his sixth Hot 100 entry and fifth top 10 on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs. He previously reached the region with “Alone,” “Silence,” featuring Khalid, “Wolves,” with Selena Gomez, and “Fly,” featuring Leah Culver. “Silence” and “Wolves” both hit No. 1.

“Eastside,” Benny Blanco, Halsey & Khalid
Benny Blanco, Halsey and Khalid’s collaborative hit “Eastside” continues to scale the Billboard Hot 100, as the single rockets 48-31 in its sixth charting frame (chart dated Sept. 1). The track concurrently climbs 34-23 on the Streaming Songs chart with 14.7 million U.S. streams.
The track earned the veteran pop producer/songwriter his first entry on the Hot 100 as an artist, and now scores him his first top 40.
Blanco, 30, has co-written and/or co-produced some of the biggest pop hits of the past decade, including such Hot 100 No. 1s as Kesha's "TiK ToK" and "We R Who We R;" Katy Perry's "California Gurls," featuring Snoop Dogg, and "Teenage Dream;" Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger,” featuring Christina Aguilera; Rihanna's "Diamonds;" and Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself."
“Eastside” also earns both Halsey and Khalid their sixth top 40 entries.
“Promises,” Calvin Harris & Sam Smith
The collab arrives at No. 65 on the Hot 100, while starting at No. 8 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. It also starts at No. 40 on the Pop Songs airplay chart with 5.1 million format audience impressions in the week ending Aug. 26. The song features guest vocals from Canadian singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez.
“I Like Me Better,” Lauv
Lauv’s breakout hit shoots from No. 39 to No. 28 on the Hot 100, helping it debut at No. 27 on Digital Song Sales, as the track receives a 117 percent sales gain, logging 10,000 downloads sold. The song concurrently reaches a new peak on the Adult Contemporary chart, rising 23-20.
