Shakira and Maluma's 'Clandestino' Hits Hot Latin Songs Chart's Top 10
Shakira earns her 29th top 10, extending her record among women.
The track's rise is fueled largely by its streaming gain, with a 43 percent boost to 4.7 million in the week ending Aug. 2, according to Nielsen Music. The gain was sparked by the song's official video, which arrived July 27, impacting its performance during its first tracking week.
Shakira extends her record for the most Hot Latin Songs top 10s among women to 29. She pads her lead over runner-up Gloria Estefan, with 23. Likewise, Shakira ties Cristian Castro and Chayanne for the third-most top 10s overall. Luis Miguel leads all artists with 39, followed by Enrique Iglesias with 38.
For Maluma, the rise grants him his ninth Hot Latin Songs top 10.
While Shakira last charted in the tally's top 10 in 2017 with "Perro Fiel" (featuring Nicky Jam), which peaked at No. 6 in December, Maluma posts his third top 10 this year: "Corazón," with Nego do Borel, hit No. 5 in January and "El Prestamo," the second single off his sophomore effort, F.A.M.E., reached No. 10 in June (and remains in the top 20 this week).
Fonseca's Sixth Tropical Songs Top 10: Elsewhere, Colombian singer-songwriter Fonseca logs his sixth top 10 on the Tropical Songs radio airplay chart, as "Simples Corazones" climbs 16-10 following the release of a remix featuring Spanish pop singer Melendi July 6. The title ascends with a 69 percent increase in airplay in the week ending Aug. 5.
Fonseca last reached the top 10 region with “Vine a Buscarte,” which rose to No. 6 in Jan. 2017.
