Drake, 'Mamma Mia' and 'Now 100' Continue U.K. Chart Reigns
Drake starts a third week at the U.K. singles summit with “In My Feelings” (Cash Money/Republic/Universal), as the Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again soundtrack (Polydor/Universal) secures a second frame atop the artist album countdown.
With little movement in the top five of either chart, the Drake single delivers 83,000 combined units, keeping George Ezra's former No. 1 “Shotgun” (Columbia/Sony) in runner-up spot for a fourth straight week. Jonas Blue's “Rise” (Positiva/Universal), featuring Jack & Jack, holds at No. 3, while there's a new entry at No. 4 in the shape of “No Brainer” (Black Butter/Def Jam/Universal) by DJ Khaled featuring Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper and Quavo.
5 Seconds Of Summer's “Youngblood” (Capitol/Universal) slips 4-5, and just outside the top ten, “Taste” (Last Kings Music) by Tyga featuring Offset climbs 15-11. “Fefe” (Tehthousandprojects) by 6ix9ne, Nicki Minaj and Murda Beatz enters at No. 17 and “Body” (Armada) by Loud Luxury featuring Brando is up 26-19.
The Mamma Mia! soundtrack continues as the U.K.'s No. 1 artist album, ending the week nearly 15,000 combined units ahead of The Greatest Showman (Atlantic/Warner), which is steady at No. 2. In an unchanged top five, Drake's Scorpion is at No. 3, Ezra's Staying At Tamara's at No. 4 and the original Mamma Mia! soundtrack at No. 5. ABBA's Gold – Greatest Hits (Polydor/Universal) is up again 7-6.
US rockers Halestorm arrive at No. 8 with the highest new entry of the week, Vicious (Atlantic/Warner Music), while Northern Irish country talent Catherine McGrath makes a notable No. 13 debut with her first album Talk Of This Town (Warner Bros./Warner Music). Daughtry's Cage To Rattle (RCA/Sony) follows at No. 14, All Saints at No. 15 with Testament (As Recordings) and the EP Teatime Dub Encounters (UWIP) by Underworld & Iggy Pop at No. 20.
The biggest album sales of the week again go to Now That's What I Call Music 100 (Sony Music CG/Virgin EMI/Universal), which leads the compilation chart for a second week. Its opening combined units of 176,000 are followed by a second-week tally of 75,000.
